"Fraise au Jardin" — Strawberry Garden Bunny Hand-Embroidered Heirloom

The Story Behind the Stitch

Set against a soft mint-green woven base, this barrette tells the story of a bunny at rest in a summer garden. The bunny — hand-sculpted from needle-felted wool, brushed to a cloud-soft finish — nestles at the center of the composition, its expression serene, its tiny red cherry crown hand-stitched with fine metallic thread.

To the left, a dimensional strawberry rises from the fabric in gradients of coral and blush, its green top rendered in fine satin stitch. To the right, a hand-embroidered rose in dusty pink and a red-capped mushroom with white dot accents add whimsy and botanical depth. A miniature yellow flower with a pearl center anchors the lower foreground, while red seed beads and scattered freshwater pearls are placed across the surface with deliberate intention.

The border is finished with a mix of hand-strung clear crystal beads and pearls — a composition that rewards close looking. Every element was placed by hand, with intention.
